LPN or CMA

Join Astera Health as an LPN or CMA in a patient-centered clinic focused on safety, quality, and excellence. This full-time role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm schedule, with weekend/holiday rotation up to four Saturdays per year.

What You'll Do

• Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of patients; prepare equipment and assist providers during treatments and examinations.
• Administer prescribed medications orally and by injection, following proper procedures and monitoring for reactions.
• Observe vital signs, document findings, and report patient condition, drug/treatment reactions, and incidents to the provider; maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist with dressing changes and wound/incision care, and help with minor surgical procedures including room setup, instrument preparation, and sterilization.
• Take temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height and weight to track progress and deviations per provider orders.
• Assist the assigned provider or other providers as needed; collaborate with nurses and other departments to ensure seamless care.
• Support Telephone Nursing, Float, and Specialty Services when needed, including prioritizing calls, routing questions, and coordinating follow-up activities.
• Ensure infection control, room cleanliness, equipment sanitization, sharps disposal, and proper stock handling; participate in safety and quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations; work effectively with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

What We're Looking For

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or certification as a CMA, with ability to practice.
• Ability to perform nursing techniques, administer medications, and assist in patient care across clinic settings.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) software and standard office equipment; strong oral and written communication.
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Physical capability to perform medium-duty tasks.

Compensation & Benefits
