About the Role The Lawson Group leads Sigma-One, a self-insured workers’ comp program for tool-based manufacturing and shop operations. This description outlines the loss control and training resources available to Sigma-One members and how The Lawson Group supports risk reduction, practical training, and proactive claims management. What You'll Do
- Access proactive loss control on-site visits and training designed to prevent slips, trips, falls, strains, sprains, and other common injuries.
- Participate in or coordinate training programs, including Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, Basic Life Support, Bloodborne Pathogens, and STOP THE BLEED®.
- Engage with our Loss Control Coordinator Academy (two-day program at our Concord, NH office) to build safety capability.
- Work with our dedicated claims team to support investigations, nurse case management coordination, and return-to-work planning when injuries occur.
- Help evaluate and align operations to Sigma-One eligibility based on day-to-day job tasks.
- Leverage prevention reimbursements (e.g., ice cleats, SawStop purchases) to reduce injuries and improve safety documentation. What We're Looking For
- Businesses with day-to-day worker activities that involve tools, manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, repair, or other shop-based operations.
- A commitment to proactive safety, injury prevention, and practical training.
- Willingness to participate in loss control visits, training, and guidelines established by Sigma-One.
- Interest in a straightforward program structure with managed care network access. Nice to Have
- Experience or interest in loss control and safety program development.
- Alignment with post-offer/pre-placement physicals and safer placement practices. Compensation & Benefits
- There is no separate membership fee to join; costs are tied to the workers’ comp program itself.
