Job title: Logistics Specialist
About the Role Corning is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Gurgaon, India to manage international shipping, import/export compliance, and end-to-end logistics operations across global locations including India, Middle East, Africa, US, Europe, and China. You will handle the preparation and processing of shipping documents and transact in ERP, carrier systems, or manual processes to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and process documents for shipping and receiving materials domestically and internationally (including manifests, packing lists, letters of credit, declarations, import licenses, and certifications).
- Manage international logistics activities, including import/export compliance, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.
- Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing including 3PL, distribution & network planning.
- GRN of inbound shipment.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Supply Team & Global stakeholders to expedite supplies to meet customer deliveries.
- Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and drive informed decision-making.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations and improve efficiency.
- Develops and implements logistics plans, budgets, and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs within budget constraints.
- Lead & drive cross-functional teams to execute complex logistics projects from inception to completion.
- Be accountable for logistics spend and productivity, working to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality service levels.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Global Logistics, Global Transportation & Trade compliance in a global environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, operational research, supply chain, or related field. MBA or master's preferred.
- Teamwork – ability to leverage the strengths of the team and bring everyone along.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask.
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to roll up sleeves as needed.
