Job title: Logistics Shift Supervisor
About the Role The Logistics Shift Supervisor at Savannah River Mill provides leadership for the Logistics teams, setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability across EHS, Compliance, Reliability, Quality, Production and Cost. This role contributes to our PBM Guiding Principles and aims to improve performance through reliable execution and developing employee capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor team members to apply Principle Based Management (PBM) in alignment with Guiding Principles and culture.
- Lead, coach, and hold direct reports accountable for their performance including product system metrics.
- Align asset strategies with department goals and ensure the team has capability to execute.
- Collaborate with performance and capability leader, manufacturing engineers, training and development, and others to build Technician/Operator/Allocator capabilities.
- Ensure individuals have development plans aligned with mill and paper machine goals.
- Manage labor cost, overtime, and staffing for your team.
- Identify and use leading and lagging metrics to assess technician performance; work with team to understand critical risks and controls.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Two+ years of supervisory experience with direct reports in a manufacturing/industrial environment OR 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial environment.
Nice to Have
- Leadership experience in the paper and pulp industry.
- Experience overseeing 10+ employees in a manufacturing setting.
- Associate degree or technical certification.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $27.00 hourly. 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
