Job title: Logistics Projects Americas Director
About the Role The Logistics Projects Americas Director will lead a portfolio of Distribution & Transportation projects valued between $10M and $50M in North America, drive D2C transformation, optimize operational costs, and integrate IT systems to strengthen regional supply chain resilience. The role covers USA, Canada, and Mexico with potential participation in global projects.
What You'll Do
- Architect, orchestrate, and lead high-impact regional supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Contribute to the Amer Sports global strategy, with primary focus on NAM project management.
- Develop and champion robust project concepts and business cases, maintaining rigorous control over quality, cost, scope, and timelines through deep-dive data analytics.
- Spearhead project realization with end-to-end accountability for financial budgets, resource allocation, IT infrastructure, and final strategic decisions.
- Monitor the project success after the realization / GoLive; drive hyper-care until projects are handed over through established RACI to internal customers.
- Establish rigorous tracking and monitoring frameworks to manage risk, prioritize workstreams, and provide transparent communication to executive stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and propose transformational improvements to optimize supply chain efficiency and scalability.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing regional project management team, with a scope primarily focused on North America (NAM) and opportunities to influence global strategy across Europe and Asia; consisting of 4 team members across USA, CAN, and MEX.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Logistics / Warehousing / Transport, with contribution to significant logistics projects such as warehouse extension and warehouse automation.
- At least 8+ years of prior experience managing a team.
- Master’s degree in supply chain, Logistics or Engineering preferred; bachelor’s degree plus equivalent and extended working experience may be considered.
- Deep subject matter expertise in Logistics, Warehousing, and Transportation.
Nice to Have
- Experience leading NAM-centric projects with potential to influence global strategy across Europe and Asia.
- Exposure to D2C transformation and integration of IT systems to support supply chain resilience.
