Job Summary

• The Logistics Officer will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, materials, products, and personnel to ensure timely and efficient delivery and collection.
• The role will manage dispatch activities, coordinate riders and drivers, track deliveries, maintain proper logistics records, and ensure that all items are handled safely and delivered according to schedule.

Essential Job Functions

• Coordinate daily delivery and collection of products, materials, and supplies.
• Plan delivery schedules and assign jobs to riders and drivers based on priority and location.
• Monitor deliveries from dispatch to completion and provide timely updates.
• Ensure all items dispatched are properly documented and accurately delivered.
• Coordinate with Production, Fulfillment, Procurement, Sales, and other relevant departments on logistics requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, fuel usage, transportation expenses, and related activities.
• Follow up on delayed, incomplete, or unsuccessful deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure company vehicles and delivery bikes are used appropriately and maintained in good condition.
• Verify delivery documentation, customer details, addresses, and contact information before dispatch.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenses.
• Maintain a reliable database of logistics vendors, riders, drivers, and service providers.
• Prepare regular logistics reports and highlight operational challenges and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures for the handling and movement of company and client materials.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess FSLC qualification with a minimum of 2 years' experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or a related role.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of Lagos routes and locations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Must be proactive, responsible, and dependable.
• Experience in a printing, branding, e-commerce, manufacturing, or related environment is an advantage.

Salary

N100,000 - N150,000 / Month
