KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Logistics Planning & Coordination

• Develop and implement effective logistics plans.

• Coordinate logistics requirements across approved projects.

• Prepare and manage transportation schedules.

• Allocate vehicles, equipment and other logistics resources efficiently.

• Monitor logistics performance against project requirements.

• Coordinate urgent logistics requirements to prevent operational delays.

• Fleet Management

• Manage and monitor the Company's logistics fleet, including:

• Construction trucks.

• Site vehicles.

• Staff transport vehicles.

• Heavy equipment transportation.

• Fuel usage and consumption.

• Fleet maintenance schedules.

• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, roadworthy, appropriately licensed and adequately insured where applicable.

• Materials Transportation

• Coordinate timely transportation of construction materials to project sites.

• Monitor delivery schedules and completion.

• Prevent unnecessary transportation delays.

• Ensure safe handling and movement of materials.

• Work closely with Procurement and Site Stores to coordinate material movements.

• Equipment & Machinery Coordination

• Schedule deployment of construction equipment.

• Coordinate movement of machinery between project sites.

• Monitor equipment availability and utilisation.

• Ensure equipment is deployed according to operational priorities.

• Support maintenance planning in collaboration with relevant technical personnel.

• Fuel & Cost Management

• Monitor fuel consumption across the fleet.

• Maintain accurate fuel and transportation records.

• Track logistics expenditure against approved operational requirements.

• Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary transportation and fleet costs.

• Promote efficient utilisation of logistics resources.

• Logistics Risk & Operational Continuity

• Identify potential transportation and logistics risks.

• Develop contingency plans for critical logistics requirements.

• Monitor supply chain and transportation disruptions.

• Recommend corrective actions to minimise operational interruptions.

• Escalate significant logistics risks promptly.

• Reporting & Performance Monitoring

Prepare and maintain:

• Daily Fleet Utilisation Reports.

• Weekly Logistics Performance Reports.

• Monthly Fleet & Logistics Dashboards.

• Quarterly Logistics Efficiency Reviews.

• Annual Logistics Performance Reports.

• AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

• The Logistics Lead will be authorised to:

• Allocate logistics resources within approved operational plans.

• Coordinate deployment of vehicles and equipment.

• Approve routine vehicle scheduling.

• Recommend fleet maintenance priorities.

• Coordinate transportation requirements across project sites.

• Escalate significant logistics risks and disruptions to the General Manager.

• Recommend improvements to fleet and logistics systems.

• The role does not have authority to independently approve fleet acquisition, disposal of Company assets or capital expenditure outside delegated authority.
