Job title: Logistics Coordinator/Logistics Site Manager
About the Role Role based in Casablanca to lead Michelin's supply chain operations for the site. Responsible for safety compliance, ERP/WMS inventory alignment, on-time deliveries, and end-to-end logistics coordination with 3PLs, internal teams and local authorities, while driving continuous improvement in line with regional goals.
What You'll Do
- Ensure application of Health and Safety rules with local regulations and Michelin directives.
- Manage ERP inventory consistency with WMS by allocating correct inventory to the right sub-inventory (old dot, damaged, returns, etc.) and correcting stock discrepancies.
- Guarantee on-time deliveries and cost targets; optimize load plans aligned with delivery dates, filling rates and customer requirements; adjust inbound/outbound capacity with 3PL and third parties.
- Adjust van routes to meet customer lead times and delivery calendars.
- Ensure compliance with the Original Commitment Rate (OCR) to customers.
- Propose regional adjustments to inland lead time and capacity storage for optimum efficiency.
- Manage requests by providing timely answers to queries, closing the loop with customers, and implementing corrective actions to eliminate recurrences.
- Be the contact person for initiatives with local authorities (customs, etc.) and ensure adherence to internal control procedures.
- Safety: collaborate with stakeholders to keep policies up to date; provide training to team members, visitors, and internal/external partners on safety policies.
- Logistics: steer operations planning and weekly/monthly meetings with 3PL, BSC support teams, and agency teams; maintain accurate visibility and proactive communication of changes; follow up on stocks and reporting for internal control.
- Responsible for the logistics performance of the perimeter (cost/ton, cost/turnover, inventory quality and integrity); lead continuous improvement initiatives following lean methods aligned to region PESC ambitions.
- Lead tendering processes and network studies; ensure end-to-end logistics budgets are under control when contracts are renewed or new business is launched.
- Ensure all processes are deployed within the internal control framework and compliant with group directives.
- CSR (Customer Service Representative) activities: process orders with correct pricing and setup; manage PIPO (Phase-in Phase-out) with customers; balance volumes and planned orders across customers; invoice processing and POD (proof of delivery); align orders between customer and internal systems.
- BI (Data Visualization & Reporting): deploy dashboards and maintain data accuracy through updates and reviews.
- Customs Activities: communicate HS codes from the Trade automation tool; verify HS codes and highlight mismatches; validate all customs documentation with the Import team; collaborate with Customs authorities to address queries (e.g., authorized economic operator, norms and regulations).
What We're Looking For
- Experience in logistics and supply chain operations, with knowledge of ERP and WMS systems and coordination with 3PLs and external partners.
- Ability to manage end-to-end processes from inventory control to delivery execution and customer liaison.
- Strong understanding of customs, HS codes, trade automation tools, and internal control/audit requirements.
- Capacity to plan, lead meetings, monitor performance metrics (cost, turnover, inventory integrity) and drive continuous improvement using lean approaches.
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers, suppliers, and authorities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on preventing recurrences and implementing corrective actions.
Nice to Have
- Experience applying lean methodology and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with tendering processes, network studies, and regional optimization in a logistics context.
- Knowledge of regional regulatory requirements and customs procedures in Morocco.
