Logistics Coordinator
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support transportation and logistics operations in Springfield, New Jersey. This role focuses on coordinating shipment activity, preparing accurate records, and helping maintain smooth day-to-day execution across inland freight movements. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable tracking multiple processes while working with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate inland freight pricing requests and arrange dispatch activities to support timely shipment movement.

• Manage carrier haulage routing for shipments, ensuring loads are assigned and scheduled efficiently.

• Prepare and organize delivery-related shipping documents with accuracy and attention to timing requirements.

• Track transportation providers and daily shipment activity to help maintain service quality and operational continuity.

• Maintain summaries and reporting related to inland transportation activity for visibility and recordkeeping.

• Verify shipment details for weight restrictions and hazardous materials compliance before transport execution.

• Review carrier performance data within transportation platforms and flag service issues or trends for follow-up.

• Examine transportation invoices and support reconciliation by identifying discrepancies or missing information.

• Assist with vessel and intermodal audit activities and contribute to oversight of transload operations as they grow

Qualifications:
-
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage documentation, shipment data, and operational records accurately.

• Effective organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working with transportation systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to monitor activity and performance.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Basic understanding of freight, shipping, or logistics processes is preferred.

• Ability to review data critically and identify issues related to compliance, billing, or service execution.
