Role Description
- The Logistic and Depot Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for overseeing daily depot operations and logistics activities.
- This role manages inventory levels, monitors stock movements, and ensures accurate documentation for all incoming and outgoing products.
- The Manager coordinates product distribution, supervises depot staff, and maintains efficient workflows to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
- Responsibilities include implementing and enforcing health and safety standards, resolving customer and distributor issues, and collaborating with other departments to optimize supply chain performance.
- The role also involves tracking key operational metrics, identifying process improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Stock Management skills, including inventory control, stock reconciliation, and warehousing practices.
- Candidates should possess solid Operations Management skills, such as workflow planning, logistics coordination, and process optimization.
- Candidates should possess effective Team Management skills, including staff supervision, performance monitoring, and shift scheduling.
- Candidates should possess good Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Candidates should possess sound Health & Safety knowledge, including compliance with safety regulations, risk assessment, and safe depot operations.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in FMCG or dairy supply chains, proficiency with inventory and ERP software, strong analytical and reporting skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
