Role
- Hospital-based 24-hour call
- Emergent consults, emergent surgeries, admits
- Daily inpatient rounding (typically 5–10 inpatients/day)
- Full on-site support: imaging, lab, procedure rooms, and OR
- Team on site: 1 Neurosurgeon, 1 ortho-spine surgeon, and Neurosurgery APPs in clinic
- EMR: Cerner
Requirements (all required — no exceptions)
- Board Certified in Neurological Surgery — BC only; Board Eligible will not be considered
- Must perform both spinal and cranial surgery
- Active, unrestricted Michigan license — IMLC accepted only with a 100% clean background
- ACLS
- Completed neurosurgery fellowship plus 2–3 years post-training experience
- Comfortable with emergent call, emergent OR, and inpatient rounding
Practice setting Regional referral hospital in Petoskey with neurosciences emphasis and on-campus surgical resources. Coverage is call-driven with a defined inpatient census rather than a high-volume elective clinic.

Compensation Details
$450–$550/hour
Compensation includes daily rate for call and callback hourly.
