About the Role As a full-time Loco Product Cost & Competitiveness Manager at Alstom, you will develop cost models for locomotive product families, provide accurate cost inputs to the engineering team, and support negotiations with suppliers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain cost databases and identify opportunities to reduce costs across products. What You'll Do
- Create cost models for a family of products based on specifications
- Evaluate the technical cost of components using cost model approaches
- Make assumptions about industrial processes based on component design
- Calculate the technical cost of components using appropriate tools
- Contribute to the improvement of cost estimation methodologies
- Share feedback from suppliers and formalize cost-saving opportunities
- Work with Product Development, Project Development, Costing, Industrial, and Sourcing teams to align on cost inputs What We're Looking For
- Degree in engineering or a related field
- Good product knowledge
- Strong understanding of industrial processes
- Curiosity and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Open-mindedness and a collaborative mindset
- Attention to detail and a rigorous work ethic
- Good communication and interpersonal skills Nice to Have
- Familiarity with DMA/CATIA for basic work
