Job title: Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)
About the Role This role supports Linde Gas & Equipment by delivering products to customers in South San Francisco, typically making 10-12 stops per day, handling freight, and ensuring accurate paperwork and excellent customer service while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
- Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- Complete hazardous material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
- Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business
- Continuously build knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help the organization grow
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED, with proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, with a valid Class A or B CDL
- Must be 21 years or older
- Hazmat endorsement on CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $23.88 - $35.03 hourly (commensurate with experience)
