Job title: Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)
About the Role You will deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while handling freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. You will accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up. You are expected to complete hazardous material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations. Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Identify needs for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance. You will build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals. You will continuously build your knowledge of how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help the organization grow.
What You'll Do
- Deliver products to customers with an average of 10-12 stops per day
- Touch freight and complete necessary paperwork
- Accurately count and record quantities and styles delivered and picked up
- Complete hazmat shipping papers per DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet goals
- Continuously learn how Linde's business operates to support growth
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, plus a valid Class A or B CDL
- Must be 21 years or older
- Hazmat endorsement on CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $21.63 - $31.71 hourly (depending on experience)
