Job title: Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)
About the Role Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) in Terre Haute, IN will deliver products to customers, touch freight, handle paperwork, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining DOT compliance and safe driving practices. The role involves 10-12 stops per day, hazardous material shipping procedures, and ongoing growth within Linde’s business operations.
What You'll Do
- Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
- Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- Complete hazardous materials shipping orders and papers in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
- Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
- Continuously build your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization grow, plus other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED, with proficiency in reading and writing in English
- 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, with a valid Class A or B CDL
- Must be 21 years or older
- Hazmat endorsement on CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
