Job title: Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)
About the Role Linde is seeking a Local Delivery Driver to transport products to customers in Chatsworth, CA. You will perform daily deliveries with 10-12 stops on average, manage freight paperwork, and ensure safety and customer service while complying with DOT regulations.
What You'll Do
- Deliver products to customers with an average of 10-12 stops per day, handle freight, complete paperwork, and provide excellent customer service.
- Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
- Complete hazardous material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations; conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Identify needs for timely vehicle repairs or maintenance and report findings.
- Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals.
- Continuously learn about Linde’s operations to support growth; perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification; valid Class A or B CDL.
- Must be 21 years or older; hazmat endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in past 2 years; no alcohol-related convictions within last 10 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with hazardous materials shipping orders and DOT regulations (optional).
