About the Role

Northern Trust is seeking a Loan Documentation Analyst to review and monitor loan documentation, ensuring alignment with approved loan structures and supporting timely funding. The role involves identifying deficiencies, determining waiver actions, and preparing management-facing reports. What You'll Do

  • Review legal and administrative documents of all new, renewed, and increased loans to ensure that they support the approved loan structure.

  • Before loan funding is allowed, determine the level of waiver action required when documentation deficiencies are discovered.

  • Using a computer system, monitor all existing documentation deficiencies and the receipt of time-sensitive documentation during the term of all loans.

  • Review all trailing documentation to ensure it is properly executed and recorded, if appropriate.

  • Report the status of documentation deficiencies to account officers and management using the loan documentation unit's computer system's report capabilities.

  • Interact with legal and account officers to clarify unfamiliar or questionable loan documentation.

  • Review appropriate documentation files and records for selected existing loans to determine compliance with established bank and legal guidelines.

  • Prepare summary reports of each existing loan audited for review by division and appropriate senior management.

  • Develops and recommends new procedures and operational controls to protect loan documentation and customer information. What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge of personal and commercial loan documentation usually acquired through previous experience in loan documentation.

  • Knowledge of commercial banking systems usually acquired through experience to extract information from various systems for analysis.

  • Analytical and computer skills required to analyze documentation, identify deficiencies, prepare reports, and work with system databases.

  • 2 years loan documentation or related experience.

  • Work authorization to be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; Northern Trust will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
