Job title: Live Haul Yard – Heavy Lifter
About the Role The Live Haul Yard Heavy Lifter performs various production labor duties in the Live Haul department to support live bird handling and yard operations.
What You'll Do
- Repairs cages
- Gathers up loose birds and takes them to the live hang department
- Cleans the office, building and shed
- Paints building and equipment as needed
- Repairs foggers, cool cells and screens
- Drives a forklift
- Changes fan filters and screens
- Washes trucks
- Sanitizes trailers
- Fabricates equipment
What We're Looking For
- Valid Driver's License required
- No prior experience or training required
- Language Skills: ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words; print and speak simple sentences
- Reasoning Ability: ability to apply common sense and simple, one- or two-step instructions; ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables
- Physical Demands: regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Work Environment: exposure to outside weather; may be wet or humid; moving mechanical parts; risk of electrical shock; moderate noise

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $14.25 per hour
- Weekly attendance incentive: $1/hour
- Pay increases at 30- and 90-days
