Job title: Live Hanger - 2nd Shift, Slaughter Plant Dept. 101
About the Role The Live Hanger on the 2nd shift supports Bachoco's poultry production by performing duties in the live-hanging process and related tasks in a safe, sanitary, and compliant manner. This is a safety-sensitive, hands-on role within the Slaughter Plant Dept. 101.
What You'll Do
- Set up/tear down workstation and line as required;
- Receives chickens before entering the production area;
- Hangs live birds in the shackles in a humane manner;
- Rotate in position cycle as instructed;
- Sorts out DOA’s (Dead on Arrival’s) and leaves on belt;
- Understands Animal Welfare and regulatory requirements;
- Responsible for any and all directives set forth by Senior Management and maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner;
- Production workers are required to stand for a period of time, walk, and reach with hands and/or arms; the team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 25-40 pounds;

- This is a safety sensitive position;
- The work environment is wet/humid, with moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold; may include exposure to high places, toxic chemicals, outside weather, and extreme heat; noise level is usually loud.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands/arms for extended periods; and to perform repetitive tasks in a production setting;
- Willingness to work in wet/humid conditions, near moving equipment, fumes/particles, and in extreme cold or heat; able to tolerate loud environments;
- Understands and adheres to Animal Welfare and regulatory requirements;
- Ability to follow directives from Senior Management and maintain a safe, sanitary work area;
- Ability to lift/move up to 25-40 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks;
- This is a safety-sensitive role requiring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $21.00 per hour; plus $1/hour weekly attendance incentive and $1/hour night shift premium.
- Pay increases at 30- and 90-days.
