Job title: Live Hanger - 1st Shift, Slaughter Plant
About the Role This is a production role at Bachoco USA's 1st Shift Slaughter Plant, focused on assisting in the efficient, humane handling and processing of poultry. The position emphasizes animal welfare, safety, and maintaining a sanitary work area to support high-quality product production.
What You'll Do
- Set-up/tear-down workstation & line as required
- Receives chickens before entering the production area
- Hangs live birds in the shackles in a humane manner
- Rotate in position cycle as instructed
- Sorts out DOA’s (Dead on Arrival’s) and leaves on belt
- Understands Animal Welfare and regulatory requirements
- Responsible for any and all directives set forth by Senior Management, and maintains work area in a safe and sanitary manner
- Stand for long periods, walk, and reach with hands/arms; regularly lift/move up to 25-40 pounds
- Follow safety protocols in a safety-sensitive environment; work in conditions that may be wet, humid, with moving parts, fumes, or extreme temperatures

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
- $1/hour weekly attendance incentive
