Job title: Litigation Associate (Junior to Mid-Level) - Cincinnati
About the Role Squire Patton Boggs seeks a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate for its Cincinnati office to handle broad aspects of litigation. Healthcare/managed care experience is a plus but not required, and you will contribute to cases from intake through trial.
What You'll Do
- Manage most aspects of litigation including drafting pleadings and motions
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Argue hearings and participate in depositions
- Manage discovery requests and responses; coordinate with local counsel
- Assist with trial preparations and trial
- Support case management and organizational tasks
What We're Looking For
- 2-6 years of experience at a top-tier firm and/or judicial clerkship
- Admission to the Ohio Bar; JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; exceptional writing ability
- Strong verbal and written communication; able to work under pressure; self-starter with good judgment
- Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required
- Healthcare/managed care litigation experience a plus but not required
- More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing commercial litigation from start to finish; more junior candidates should have exceptional academic records
