LISIG Member Services & Safety Program (The Lawson Group)

The Lawson Group
Concord, NH
On-site

About this role

What Sets Us Apart LISIG is a homogeneous self-insured workers’ comp group, built around job functions rather than industry labels. The Lawson Group has managed LISIG since 2001 with a strong focus on injury prevention and hands-on claims support, tailoring safety resources to fit real work for wood-related businesses in New Hampshire. Eligibility is based on what your people do day to day, not just a company niche, and NH allows groups to be formed around actual operations.

What Members Get (Beyond Coverage)

  • Practical loss control built for your work, focusing on slips, trips, and falls; strains and sprains; caught-in and struck-by incidents; equipment-related incidents; and vehicle/material-handling injuries. You’ll receive practical training and on-site support that fits how your work gets done.
  • Dedicated, hands-on claims management—from investigation and documentation to nurse case management coordination and return-to-work planning.
  • Prevention reimbursements to help reduce injuries, including ice cleats to prevent winter slips, SawStop purchases to reduce table saw injuries, and post-offer/pre-placement physicals for better documentation and safer placement.
  • Managed care network access and a practical payment structure: access to a managed care network, no premium deposit required, 12 equal installments, and potential for surplus distribution/dividends.
  • Partnership with insurance brokers: stable, people-first groups with high retention (approx. 99%), so you can present fit quickly and confidently.

For Insurance Brokers Your clients want steady and straightforward coverage. Our people-first approach has led to strong, stable groups and high retention, so you can feel confident they’ll be well cared for. We’ll move fast on fit and help you present it clearly.

LISIG FAQs

  • Does my company fit in LISIG? Eligibility is based on job functions and exposures. Tell us what your team does day-to-day and we’ll give a clear answer.
  • Do you offer safety training? Yes. Loss control visits and practical training are core. We also offer the Loss Control Coordinator Academy (a comprehensive two-day safety program) at our Concord, NH office, plus Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, Basic Life Support, Bloodborne Pathogens, and STOP THE BLEED® trainings.
  • Is there a membership cost to join? There’s no separate membership fee; costs are tied to the workers’ comp program itself.
  • Can we receive a surplus distribution? Potentially. Distributions aren’t guaranteed, but they can occur when the Trust performs well financially and your company contributes to profitability.
