Job title: Linux/Unix Engineer

About the Role Join our Linux/Unix-focused team to design, customize, and maintain open source–based solutions. This role centers on leveraging Linux/Unix platforms to support web and network applications, with emphasis on open source technologies to save time and reduce costs.

What You'll Do

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix environments (Linux, Debian, OpenSolaris)
  • Work with virtualization technologies (both OS and hardware level)
  • Build and manage heterogeneous distributed systems and fault-tolerant solutions
  • Customize, maintain, and integrate Oracle enterprise products
  • Develop X11/Xorg GUI applications and work with legacy web technologies in LAMP stacks, with strong Apache internals expertise
  • Implement secure communications (SSL/TLS)
  • Profile, optimize performance, and participate in kernel development and embedded solutions
  • Java development for UNIX

What We're Looking For

  • Strong Linux/Unix experience with hands-on work on Linux, Debian, and OpenSolaris
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (OS and hardware level)
  • Knowledge of heterogeneous distributed systems and fault-tolerant designs
  • Experience with Oracle enterprise products customization / maintenance / integration
  • X11/Xorg GUI application development and Apache internals
  • LAMP stack expertise and Apache internals
  • Secure communications experience (SSL/TLS)
  • Skills in profiling and optimization; kernel development; embedded solutions
  • Java development for UNIX

Nice to Have

  • Additional Oracle enterprise product experience and integrations
  • Deep expertise in security practices around SSL/TLS and secure web apps
