About the Role Dimetra's Linux Platform team delivers mission-critical Linux OS and virtualization-based platform solutions for Dimetra systems. We’re seeking a Linux Platform Engineer with a passion for Linux-based operating systems and virtualization (primarily KVM) to design, develop and test platform solutions, and to contribute to test automation and hardware maintenance in an Agile environment. All day-to-day tasks will be performed using the Scrum methodology and in accordance with Agile best practices. What You'll Do
- Design, develop and test platform solutions for Linux OS and virtualization (primarily KVM), including server configuration.
- Perform manual integration level testing and contribute to test automation.
- Maintain platform hardware and support configuration and troubleshooting.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Create and update documentation for designs, procedures and troubleshooting. What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Linux systems development or maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux OS and KVM virtualization (administration and troubleshooting).
- Strong Bash and Python skills.
- At least basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
- Good troubleshooting skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
- English language skills sufficient for effective communication; strong teamwork orientation.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, cross-team environment. Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology.
- Experience with Git/JIRA.
