About this role
About the Role Owns the design and automation of Linux patching across the SG estate. Anchors Red Hat Satellite operations, defines patch lifecycle for managed and non-managed instances, and drives Phase 2 automation gains for the largest patching surface. What You'll Do
- Own the design of Linux patch lifecycle across managed (Satellite) and non-managed instances.
- Maintain and extend Red Hat Satellite content views, lifecycle environments and host collections.
- Define automation patterns for non-managed Linux instances currently driven by application CI/CD.
- Coordinate with the Operations Lead on Tier-1 / Tier-2 SLA attainment for Linux scope.
- Drive the Phase 2 automation roadmap for the OS domain.
- Mentor patching engineers; review runbooks; arbitrate non-standard cases. What We're Looking For
- 10+ years operating enterprise Linux at scale.
- RHCE minimum; RHCA preferred.
