Linux Engineer - Global Trading Firm | Low-Latency Infrastructure
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for engineers who enjoy high-performance systems, automation, and solving complex infrastructure challenges in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Administer, patch, and optimize Linux servers (RHEL/Fedora)
- Tune systems, kernel, and networks for ultra-low latency performance
- Build automation tools using Bash / Python / Perl
- Manage configuration via Ansible / Salt
- Support virtualization platforms such as Proxmox / KVM / VMware
- Handle advanced networking (VLANs, bonding, SR-IOV, QoS, firewalls)
- Manage SAN / NAS / iSCSI storage environments
- Improve monitoring, resiliency, and production support processes
- Drive security hardening and compliance initiatives
What We're Looking For:
- 5–10 years of Linux Engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, scripting, and performance tuning
- Hands-on with automation and infrastructure at scale
- Experience with containers (Docker / LXC / LXD)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus
- Trading / financial services background is an advantage
