Job title: Lineman

About the Role The Lineman will construct, build, and maintain overhead and underground electric facilities up to 34.5 kV, including installation, removal and maintenance of primary/secondary line facilities, transformers, and related components. The role also involves driving various trucks, operating equipment such as aerial bucket and digger derrick trucks, reading designs, and performing installations in open areas and energized environments. On-call duty and emergency response are required.

What You'll Do

• Construct, build and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 34.5 kV, including installation/removal/maintenance of primary and secondary line facilities and transformers.
• Install OH/UG transformers and wire transformer banks; wiring of regulators, capacitors and reclosers.
• Operate trucks and equipment (Aerial Bucket, Digger Derrick) and read job prints/sketches; recognize materials and their functions.
• Set, climb and work on poles of various heights; work in open areas and energized lines; read blueprints; ensure safe and efficient work layouts.
• Be available for on-call duty and emergency response.
• Work safely following Entergy safety policies; demonstrate leadership to direct other linemen; plan and execute work safely and efficiently.
• Perform work overhead from bucket trucks; climb structures and perform emergency rescue operations if needed; maintain company equipment and safeguard assets.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of lineman experience; ability to obtain/hold a Class A CDL.
• Valid Class A CDL; ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather; irregular hours and occasional travel.
• Strong communication skills; ability to follow directives with limited supervision; ability to lead and direct others.
• Commitment to safety and Entergy safety policies; hazard recognition and mitigation; safe operation of trucks and heavy equipment around energized lines.
• Ability to perform basic computer tasks (time entry, emails, training) and handle stress; reliable attendance; overtime as needed.
• This is a safety-sensitive position with pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Customer service mindset and ability to interact with the public; willingness to learn and adapt.
