About the Role Danfoss is seeking a Light Assembler to assemble parts into complete units or subassemblies at a bench, conveyor line, or assigned location, following drawings and directions. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement within a collaborative team.
What You'll Do
- Assemble parts to form complete units or subassemblies using hand tools, small power tools, and other equipment on a bench or conveyor line.
- Read routing sheets, assembly/test instructions, and booklets to properly assemble and test hydraulic motors; use routing sheets and templates to assemble gerolers/geroters; troubleshoot issues.
- Select, assemble, and identify part characteristics; align shafts, seating seals, spacers, and retainers; perform visual inspection and adjust as needed.
- Use and maintain gauging and assembly equipment; perform supportive maintenance; conduct cell housekeeping according to 5-S.
- Adhere to Safety Process and protect personal safety (eye/hearing protection, machine guards, lock out/tag out, SDS procedures, OHSA regulations); contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork; perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Six months minimum manufacturing or repair experience in a similar environment, or completed Vocational School training with comparable experience.
- Basic computer data entry skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply information from applicable documents.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and any shift in a team environment.
