About this role
The Hoxton Bengaluru City is seeking a Lifeguard to join our team in Bengaluru, India. This role supports the safety and enjoyment of guests at the hotel’s pool and surrounding leisure areas as The Hoxton opens its first neighbourhood hotel in Asia in 2026. You will help deliver a welcoming and safe guest experience as part of a dynamic, international hospitality group.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests using the swimming pool and surrounding leisure areas.
- Monitor pool activities and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid and rescue assistance when required.
- Conduct routine inspections of the pool area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with operating standards.
- Enforce pool rules and safety procedures while delivering friendly and professional guest service.
- Maintain lifesaving equipment, first aid supplies and safety signage in good working order.
- Support the wider hotel team in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable guest experience.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly and maintain accurate incident records.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and local statutory regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Lifeguard in a hotel, resort, club, or similar leisure environment.
- Valid Lifeguard certification with current CPR, First Aid and rescue qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of pool safety procedures, emergency response and guest care.
- Calm, confident and able to make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Passion for hospitality and a desire to make a positive impact on guests, delivering memorable experiences.
- Team-oriented, ready to contribute to a hardworking and supportive environment and able to adapt and try new approaches as needed.
