Job title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

About the Role The LVN provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, clinic or region. You will assess health problems and needs, take vital signs, administer medications, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. You may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or coordinate case management as needed. You will work within established standards and have some latitude over prioritization and timing.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, clinic or region according to clinical standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assess patient health problems and needs; monitor vital signs; administer prescribed medications; document and maintain medical records.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans; evaluate patient responses to treatments and adjust as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • This role is patient-facing and participates in Humana's TB screening program; TB screening is required if selected.

  • Current licensure as an LPN or LVN (Texas).

  • Willingness to participate in Humana's TB screening program.

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual capabilities.
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Knowledge of primary care medicine requirements (state-specific).
  • Working knowledge of clinical operations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $48,900 - $66,200 per year; eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company/individual performance.
