About the Role Rutgers University is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join its healthcare teams working in state correctional facilities across New Jersey. Positions cover Medical and Mental Health care needs for incarcerated patients, with duties aligned to professional nursing standards to administer total patient care based on individualized patient needs and families. What You'll Do
- Provide total patient care to assigned inmates under the direction of nursing leadership
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with professional standards
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to address medical and mental health needs across multiple facilities
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety and comfort What We're Looking For
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
- Ability to work in secure, correctional facility environments
- Experience or interest in medical and/or mental health settings
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills Nice to Have
- Prior correctional health experience
- UCHC (University Correctional Health Care) affiliation experience
