About the Role Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey's University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (Mental Health) Part Time for the New Jersey State Prison, located in Trenton, NJ. Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN will provide technical nursing care to assigned patients, perform treatments and procedures within established guidelines, and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment in a correctional health care setting. What You'll Do
- Provide total patient care based on individualized needs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Administer nursing care, perform treatments and procedures within established guidelines, and contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Participate in data collection related to the patients’ status and needs and provide input to the Registered Nurse for ongoing patient care. What We're Looking For
- Licensed Practical Nurse (Mental Health) with the ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Competence in delivering technical nursing care in a correctional health setting and ability to support patient care in a mental health context.
