About the Role The Licensed Optician at Pearle Vision delivers an exceptional customer experience, builds lasting relationships with customers, and supports doctor and associate satisfaction. This part-time role focuses on accurate eye measurements, lens and frame fitting, and guidance to help customers choose eyewear that meets their visual and lifestyle needs in a community Pearle Vision location. What You'll Do
- Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture and applying NECE and strong retail sales skills.
- Develop professional relationships with colleagues and doctors to support patient care.
- Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions; evaluate, interpret and discuss prescriptions with customers; ask lifestyle questions to determine vision needs; recommend lenses, coatings and frames; assist customers in frame selection and coordinate measurements with prescriptions.
- Conduct measurements of bridge, eyesize, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers using appropriate tools; troubleshoot vision issues and resolve customer concerns.
- Aid in training new associates to help them understand frame and lens selection.
- Ensure store presentation according to Planogram and company standards; maintain high quality through accurate measurements, pricing, POS entry, and realistic delivery quotes.
- Maximize Managed Vision Care relationships and sales opportunities; support timely marketing program implementation and signage/promotions. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent; state licensure or certification as an optician by a recognized opticianry association.
- Retail or customer service experience; proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets.
- Strong sales skills and accountability for results; ability to present and implement creative solutions.
- Enthusiastic and concise communication; ability to foster positive relationships with customers, associates and doctors.
- Merchandising experience and attention to detail; ability to manage priorities, adapt, take calculated risks, and follow up.
- 3+ years of experience; experience with personal computers. Nice to Have
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in retail operations.
- Additional 3+ years of relevant experience.

- Pay Range: $24.15-$34.14 per hour.
