Job title: Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) - Med/Surg (Full-Time, Days)
About the Role Under the direction of the Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) provides direct and indirect patient care for a group of patients on the unit/department, under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse. This role supports safe, compassionate care and helps maintain smooth unit operation in the Med/Surg setting.
What You'll Do
- Perform activities of daily living and personal care needs under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Perform technical skills/procedures related to physical, mental health and social needs of patients under the guidance and supervision of the RN.
- Document care provided and report to the RN observations of patient’s physical, social and mental status and basic patient data collected.
- Adhere to safe patient handling policies; demonstrate time management and efficiency.
- Maintain patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety and availability of supplies and equipment.
- Receive delegated work adhering to the five rights of delegation.
- Perform job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High school or equivalent (GED) preferred; Required: Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results (as required by the NH Board of Nursing).
- Certification/Registration & Licensure: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent.
- Licensure: Current New Hampshire State LNA license.
- Experience: Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team.
Nice to Have
- GED or High School diploma (preferred).
