Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)
Overview
Neurology Clinic 40 hours per week Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care duties. Possesses direct access to drug products and secure medication locations in order to manage the storage, handling and disposal of medications consistent with the Medication Storage and Handling Policy.
Responsibilities
- Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL’s, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc.
- Assists visitors and answer telephones.
- Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications

High school graduate required.

Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use.

Previous hospital experience preferred.

Required Licensure/Certifications
-
Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
Salary
Range: The base rate for this position is $20.40 - $24.75 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.

Support the integration of collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement the standards of nursing in the processes of care.
Responsibilities
- General Clinical Practice Performs all assigned patient care responsibilities according to the standards of care at NLH and within the scope of practice established for LNAs. Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the population served. Documents care provided using hospital standards. Reinforces education to patients and families. Reports any untoward symptoms or changes to appropriate RN/LPN. Monitors the patient environment to assure that it is safe and free from hazards.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited LNA program 0-1 year relevant clinical practice Hospital experience preferred

Salary
$27 - $30 / hour
