About this role
A licensed nursing assistant (LNA) at Credenza Health is employed under the direction of the Director and/or Nurse Manager to provide direct and indirect patient care for a group of patients with a range of needs on the unit or department, under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse.
Responsibilities
- Perform activities of daily living and personal care needs under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Perform technical skills and procedures related to the physical, mental health, and social needs of patients under the guidance and supervision of the RN.
- Document care provided and report to the RN observations of the patient’s physical, social, and mental status and basic patient data collected.
- Adhere to safe patient handling policies.
- Demonstrate time management skills.
- Maintain patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and availability of materials and equipment.
- Receive delegated work and adhere to the five rights of delegation.
- Perform job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Required: proof of LNA education certificate and final report of written and clinical competency testing results as required by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
- Certification/ Licensure: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (or equivalent credentialed by the American Heart Association). Current New Hampshire state LNA license.
- Experience: Demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
