About this role

Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Leadership Role at Ellie Mental Health

Are you ready to elevate your clinical career? We're looking for a Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our leadership team in a supervisory role – someone who's passionate about clinical excellence and ready to collaborate closely with the Clinic Director. You'll share our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental healthcare, and thrive in a culture built on authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, acceptance, and determination. In this role, you'll help oversee clinic performance and operations alongside the Clinic Director — assisting with staffing, providing clinical resources, and handling administrative oversight for the team. This role is available part-time or full-time, with a flexible weekly schedule built around your caseload and leadership commitments.

We Offer: compensation of 96K–136K annually; unlimited PTO plus 8 paid holidays plus your birthday (full-time only); full benefits for full-time employees including medical, dental, and vision (full-time only); 401K plan; paid to provide supervision separate from your own client work; continuing education reimbursement; hybrid work schedule; flexible schedule with significant autonomy; comfortable, furnished offices in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities Include: supervision and consultation; participate in the weekly Clinic Director meeting; provide weekly individual supervision and group supervision for master’s level clinicians; provide one-to-one consultation with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation; administrative duties including troubleshooting issues with the EHR (Valant) and billing; support clinic staff development; partner with the Clinic Director to support administrative changes as needed; coordinate with the Clinic Director to support the hiring process; clinic oversight including assisting with monitoring and managing clinic office schedules; provide timely response to concerns raised by clients and clinicians; maintain agreed upon clinical client caseload; serve as back-up for the Clinic Director when they are out of the office; additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: Clinical Psychologist degree or equivalent (PhD); independently licensed with a MA issued clinical practice license (we can help with getting licensed in MA – let's discuss); strong leadership, problem-solving, and executive skill sets; strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice; experience with supervising pre-licensed clinicians; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures; excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; ability to function well in a high-paced and changing environment; proficient with Microsoft 365 applications; adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.

Ellie Mental Health is devoted to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where all of our humans can be their authentic selves. If you’re excited about the chance to be a change-maker with us, but your past experience doesn’t perfectly align with every single qualification of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. Our mental health jobs need dedicated individuals from every background who are willing to care for others. And who knows, you might just be the perfect candidate for another role!

Employee Experience

We take care of our people. It’s that simple. From investing in their financial future to providing wages that shatter the ceiling in our industry to reasonable caseload expectations we ensure that our people are happy. Happy employees do better work and provide better client care. No matter what it is that you do in your mental health career at Ellie, our clients depend on us cultivating an environment where our employees can thrive so that they can thrive too!

Y’all, jobs in mental health are tough jobs with a high risk of emotional fatigue and burnout. At Ellie, we use all of our core values of humor, creativity, authenticity, acceptance, determination, and compassion not just out in our communities, but we turn them inwards too. Our employees have clear growth paths for advancing their careers. We have created a culture that reminds us that our employees are our leaders!

Company Structure

Ellie is a socially responsible for-profit business, which allows us to be flexible and responsive to our community’s needs. Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel “blah.” Feeling blah doesn’t help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time. So we created a new model: one that puts flexibility, innovative decision-making, creativity, and our people first, while remaining a socially conscious and responsible for-profit business focused on changing how we treat mental health. In short, we’re just people helping people. Wanna join the herd?
