WHAT YOU'LL DO
- As an LVN, you will provide direct nursing care to residents while supervising and supporting the day-to-day activities of nursing assistants to ensure quality resident care.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, and established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Perform nursing assessments, treatments, and procedures within your scope of practice.
- Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation and maintain resident medical records.
- Supervise, direct, and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on your assigned shift.
- Ensure residents receive care in accordance with their individual care plans and personal preferences.
- Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
- Promote infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Create a warm, respectful, and positive environment for residents and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a current, active, and unencumbered California LVN license.
- Graduate of an approved LVN nursing program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with nursing assistants and other healthcare professionals.
- Compassion, patience, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to resident care.
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
