About the Role As part of the Access & Resource Sharing department, this role supports library service points by providing circulation, technology, printing, and general library services help. The position delivers user services and is part of the first-line support team for patrons, contributing to on-campus student success and a thriving academic environment. What You'll Do

  • Operate library service points and provide circulation, technology, printing, and general library services support.
  • Provide user services, including lending, printing, and basic technology assistance, and answer patron questions as part of the first-line support team.
  • Steward circulating physical collections and perform sorting, shelving, and stack maintenance.
  • Apply specialized knowledge of subjects, languages, computer applications, or disciplines relevant to library processes and services.
  • Use a variety of systems and resources to provide access to library collections and perform complex technical functions requiring proficiency with technical protocols, digital technology, and data manipulation.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment when providing service and interpreting, analyzing, and applying policies and procedures, including those related to fiscal decisions.
  • Routinely analyze and resolve complex problems that may impact other Library departments or external parties and organizations. What We're Looking For
  • Associate degree and at least 2 years of work in a public service setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Library experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in public service or customer service preferred.
  • Skills: strong work ethic, time management, punctuality; ability to deliver customer-focused service and work collaboratively in a team. Nice to Have

  • Pay Range: $25.131 per hour; hourly rate noted as $24.458 in related notes.
  • Schedule: On-campus, with specified regular hours Tue–Thu 4 PM–12 AM and Fri–Sat 2 PM–10 PM; Summer hours adjusted.
