Librarian
The Librarian is a Principal Officer, the Head and Officer in-charge of the library. He shall be responsible to the Director & Services Executive Officer for the day-to-day administration and coordination of the Nigeria French Language Village Library
Requirements
Candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- First Degree in French with minimum of Second-Class Lower Division from a recognized University plus NYSC discharga/Examption Certificate. He/She must have a Master's Degree and a PhD in Library and Information Science plus 18 years cognate experience in a University Library or any Library of a Tertiary institution of which substantial part of it might have been spentin a Library of a Francophone environment.
- Must have a minimum of 25 scholarly publications in reputable peer-teviewed journals or have contributed to the publishing of books relating to the library profession as required of an Academic Staft.
- Ha/She must be a Professionally certified member of the Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRN) and Nigeria Library Association(NLA).
- Must be versed with University/Academic Research and Library administration
- Must be able to promote inter-library collaboration and international academic linkages
- Must have ICT proficiency certificate and experience in modern digital library management. Candidate must have spent at east 3 years as a Deputy Librarian in any institution of comparable status.
