Job title: Level One Tapping Machine Operator
About the Role Level One: Working under direct supervision, level one tapping machine operators perform basic tapping operations requiring basic machine attending and inspection skills such as using Go/No Go and thread gauges, and performing basic visual inspection. This role focuses on safe operation in a manufacturing setting with basic quality checks and necessary paperwork.
What You'll Do
- Work safely under PPE and functional safety guidelines and operate tapping machines and participate in equipment interaction as required.
- Perform basic loading/unloading of product.
- Conduct in-process inspection (visual & functional) and recording results.
- Visual management of machine (taps, gauges, etc.).
- Complete production paperwork and operation audit tasks.
- Use Go/No Go and thread gauges to verify threads and dimensions.
- Assist with basic tapping operations under direct supervision.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to read and write English.
- Basic tapping operations and machine tending skills.
- Familiarity with Go/No-Go gauges and thread gauges.
- Visual inspection skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work on-site and adhere to PPE and safety guidelines.
- Ability to work under direct supervision in a manufacturing environment.
