About the Role AB Volvo Prevost Specialist level technicians perform highly skilled mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of coaches. This role may involve independent problem solving, directing projects with a team, and mentoring others. You will work with next-gen technologies, uphold quality, and represent Prevost and Volvo Group in delivering reliable, safe motor coaches to customers.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair Electrical, HVAC, suspension, pneumatic and brake systems
- Work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Provide training, assistance, and mentoring of fellow coworkers
- Respect and care for the customer and their equipment
- Develop personal professional and technical skills on an ongoing basis
- Act as a worthy representative of Prevost at all times; foster teamwork and improved communications between sectors
- Comply with company rules, guidelines, and the RED CARPET POLICY; uphold corporate values
- Comply with quality and safety standards; ensure repeat business and customer loyalty
- Diagnose and repair customer equipment; complete documentation thoroughly and on time
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; verify materials and equipment per ISO guidelines
- Utilize electronic media and laptop for diagnostics and documentation; assist customers over the phone with technical issues
- Fill in for team leader when needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years of mechanical experience or technical school graduate
- Maintain all requirements for Level 1 and Level 2 technician
- Pass required aptitude test; advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to read and write; DOT physical standards; EPA certifications for refrigerant handling
- Proficiency with parts lookup and documentation; proactive knowledge expansion of latest technology and systems
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with customers remotely when needed
- Leadership potential; willingness to supervise or step in for a team leader
Nice to Have
- Experience with Prevost/Volvo products and systems
- Familiarity with ISO guidelines and Volvo Group University development programs
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in cross-functional environments
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay $28.00 - $32.00 per hour; bonus eligibility where applicable
