About the Role A Legal Wealth Advisor 3 is responsible for origination and on-going management of a profitable book of business from attorneys and law firms, delivering loans, deposits, fee income and non-interest income through long-term client relationships within Truist's Legal Specialty Group (LSG). What You'll Do
- Manage a profitable book of clients consisting of small to mid-size law firms and attorneys, including deposits, loans, and assets under management (typical book size $5MM+ in revenue) with emphasis on family wealth relationships.
- Develop an annual business plan with marketing and client acquisition, aligned with a service delivery plan for clients and prospects.
- Proactively originate new business via leads/referrals, centers of influence, marketing efforts, client introductions, and networking in deposits, loans, and investments.
- Act as the ''face'' of private practice within LSG firm relationship teams for assigned firms.
- May serve as Market Leader for a geography at the Head of LSG's discretion.
- Identify and deliver the bank's resources to opportunities for clients and prospects.
- Coordinate and lead the WRAP process for advisory delivery and lead relationship strategy sessions with teams.
- Document all client interactions in the CRM system.
- Maintain visibility in the local legal market through event attendance (ALA, Bar Associations, Pro Bono foundations).
- Participate in campaigns or volunteer at committee or board level within legal-focused non-profits.
- Support LSG teammates through collaborative relationship strategies and teamwork.
- Develop processes to mitigate risk within each practice area, including operational, regulatory, and reputational considerations.
- Promote ongoing personal and professional growth via education, seminars, conferences, and continuing education.
- Lead discussions with team members on wealth topics, market developments, and best practices.
- Mentor and support junior wealth advisors and associates. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of private banking experience in wealth-focused roles.
- FINRA Series 7, Series 66, Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses and SAFE Act registration; 60-90 days to transfer/acquire registrations.
- Extensive knowledge of banking products and services, corporate and private banking.
- Regulatory eligibility to meet Loan Originator Compensation requirements under TILA.
- Proven success in acquiring new high net worth and ultra-high net worth client relationships and in meeting/exceeding sales goals.
- Deep understanding of wealth management and financial planning for HNW/UHNW individuals and families.
- Superior consultative and client management skills; ability to sell a broad range of products/services.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and client service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-faceted client mandates and coordinate engagement teams.
- Robust understanding of the legal profession and niche expertise in serving one or more practice areas.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Nice to Have
- CFP, CTFA, CDFA or similar designation; MBA or other advanced degree. Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary: $225,000 – $250,000.
