Scion Staffing is conducting the search for a Legal Secretary on behalf of a well-established law firm in Fort Lauderdale. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite opportunity ideal for a Legal Secretary with a background in estate planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and secretarial support
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal correspondence and documents
- File pleadings and legal documents electronically with Florida courts
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Enter attorney time accurately using timekeeping system
- Manage client files and maintain organized electronic and physical records
- Answer phones, communicate professionally with clients, courts, and outside parties
- Assist with document management and general office administration
- Utilize legal software and office technology to support daily workflow
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of legal secretary experience in a law firm preferred
- Experience supporting probate and/or estate planning attorneys strongly preferred
- Experience with Florida e-filing procedures
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
Compensation
- $31.00 per hour
