About this role
Job title: Legal Engineer - In-House
About the Role Legora seeks a cross-functional Legal Engineer - In-House to help in-house legal teams maximize the value of Legora’s AI-native platform. This role blends legal ops, product specialization, and client-facing work to drive adoption, inform product direction, and scale impact across corporate legal functions.
What You'll Do
- Act as a thought partner to General Counsels, Legal Operations leaders, and in-house teams — building trusted relationships, addressing pain points, and identifying high-value opportunities to scale Legora.
- Work with Go-To-Market and Customer Success to own client relationships — from running pilots with key business units to onboarding and department-wide adoption across corporate legal teams.
- Be the voice of in-house users inside Legora — sharing insights from legal ops, commercial lawyers, and compliance functions to inform product development and roadmap priorities.
- Deliver clear, confident product demos and training that bring the power of Legora to life for GCs, regional teams, or legal ops professionals.
- Document best practices, contribute to scalable playbooks, and help shape how this function grows globally.
- Help in-house teams navigate one of the biggest shifts in how corporate legal operates — mapping ROI and how AI impacts functions from contract management to regulatory compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Background in in-house law, ideally with exposure to legal operations, process improvement, or technology implementation.
- Tech-curious and product-savvy; comfortable discussing generative AI, technology implementation, and innovation.
- Clear, confident communication with diverse stakeholders, from General Counsels to engineers.
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and remain a calm, credible presence in fast-moving environments.
- Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable juggling multiple client relationships.
- Understand the commercial realities of in-house life: doing more with limited resources, demonstrating value, balancing risk and objectives; and being a strategic partner rather than just a cost centre.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 225,000 - 325,000 per year.
- Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite).
- Employment type: Full-time.
