About the Role Join Canonical's Legal team to help enable global adoption of open source technology through efficient, sophisticated contracting. You will help shape multinational agreements across industries while supporting the future of collaborative engineering unlocked by open source licences.
What You'll Do
- Develop contracts and frameworks that are simple, clean and understandable and reflect best practices for software production, consumption and distribution.
- Draft and negotiate multinational agreements with large organisations across telecommunications, retail, financial services and media.
- Ensure contracts protect all parties and minimize friction while enabling business objectives, including open source licensing considerations.
- Contribute to the global effort to define and understand the future of collaborative engineering unlocked by open source licences.

- Experience in the global legal landscape with technology, commercial and corporate contracting.
- Outstanding track record, teamwork, and interest in the future of software and the legal frameworks that underpin it.
- Passion for open source licensing and collaborative engineering is welcome.
