Soothening Enterprise in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking a Legal Adviser to provide expert legal guidance and support across the business. The role offers a salary range of N1,500,000 to N3,000,000 per year and a location-based position in Lagos.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to the business on a range of matters impacting operations and strategy
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents
- Advise on regulatory and compliance issues to help the company operate within applicable laws
- Support risk management by identifying potential legal risks and proposing mitigations
- Represent and support the company in negotiations with external partners, clients, and stakeholders
- Monitor and communicate changes in laws and regulations that may affect the business
- Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed and manage ongoing legal matters
- Prepare and maintain legal briefs, filings, and internal records as required
Requirements
- A qualified legal professional with relevant law qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in providing legal counsel and contract review, ideally within a corporate or business environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple issues simultaneously
- Knowledge of Nigerian law and regulatory landscape relevant to business operations
