Federal College of Education, Yola was established in 1974 as a middle level teacher training institution. It was known as Federal Advanced Teachers’ College (FATC), Yola. Actual academic activities commenced during the 1975/1976 session with 150 students under the leadership of the Pioneer Principal Mr. C. Pollock, an expatriate. The College was under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Education. Mr. Pollock completed his tenure in 1982.

Requirements: Candidates must possess a good degree (at least second class) or master’s degree with specialization in the areas advertised in the table below, with teaching experience in a higher institution. Other requirements include evidence of NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, evidence of registration with TRCN, and demonstration of good knowledge of computer.
