Job title: Learn to Skate Coordinator
About the Role The Learn to Skate Coordinator supports River City Sportplex's Learn to Skate program, coordinating Snowplow and Basic/Adult classes and ensuring registrations and communications run smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate class schedules (Snowplow and Basic/Adult) and ensure registration through Learn to Skate USA
- Communicate class times, fees, and equipment requirements (skate rental included; helmets not provided)
- Liaise with the Learn to Skate Coordinator and families to answer questions and manage make-up and refunds per policy
- Maintain awareness of curriculum levels and progressions (Snowplow Sam; Basic 1-6) and support instructors
- Monitor the 7-week session structure, including Saturdays and Tuesdays offerings and make-up opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Experience coordinating youth sports or activity programs; strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with Learn to Skate USA or willingness to learn; ability to manage schedules and registrations
- Ability to work onsite and interact with families in a positive, supportive environment
Nice to Have
- Skate coaching or curriculum knowledge; prior event scheduling or program coordination experience
- Comfort using registration platforms and handling customer inquiries
Compensation & Benefits
- No salary information provided in the posting; program fees are listed for participants (Snowplow $79.50; Basic/Adult $159.00) and include seven classes with skate rental (helmets not included)
