Job title: Leader, Supply Chain (Fabricated Metal Parts)
About the Role Bombardier is seeking a Leader, Supply Chain for Fabricated Metal Parts to drive end-to-end supply chain performance for the Fabricated Metal Parts programs across Global, Challenger and Learjet. The role leads objectives, governance and supplier relationships to deliver on-time, on-budget results while fostering innovation and leadership across the team.
What You'll Do
- Set objectives for the team based on the Supply Chain balanced scorecard and lead monthly KPI governance to ensure target achievements.
- Prioritize resource allocation and team support to maximize benefits to the program.
- Work closely with cross-functional leadership within the Global, Challenger and Learjet programs and the Supply Chain leadership teams.
- Complete performance evaluations and personal development plans with team members. Coach and develop team members. Develop and manage performance management plans.
- Create formal networks internally and externally, including key fabricated metal parts suppliers and industry partners.
- Complete sourcing activities for the program and manage strategic initiatives for profitability growth.
- Oversee supplier management throughout the product development phases.
- Manage product changes with our suppliers.
- Oversee operational escalations internal partners.
- Oversee contractual and commercial negotiations with suppliers, including the agreements with new vendors.
- Review contractual documents such as amendments and settlement agreements.
- Support the preparation of program management and/or commodity reviews.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, business/management, supply chain management or similar. MBA or additional certifications would be an asset.
- At least ten (10) years of direct experience, including at least two (2) years as a line leader managing a team.
- Negotiation experience; ability to establish logical arguments and finalize agreements.
- Strong capabilities in operational, commercial and financial management.
- Proven experience in complex project management and leadership with a track record of coordinating and managing a team.
- Demonstrated Bombardier leadership competencies: providing direction, leading change, driving performance, developing high-performing teams, and engendering confidence and trust.
- Comfortable with complex technical topics; knowledge of legal terminology and interpretation of contracts.
- Familiar with aircraft design, configuration, certification and change management principles.
- Detail-oriented, rigorous and deadline-driven.
- Proficient in French and English (written and spoken).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
- Ability to work on-site at Montreal-based facilities at least three (3) days per week and in accordance with the Flexible Work Policy; willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
